Since we're on this WONDERFUL subject, does anyone know when this
newborn instinct of breast crawl/self attachment begins to decline?
If no hard data, any theories?
I have noticed my son will still self attach with vigor during the night. He is 4
1/2 months old. When he begins to rouse in his sleep, if he is laid prone on my
chest he will flip and flop his head back and forth and will flop hard over to
one side or another. I support him from falling off the side of my chest but
other than that I do not "position" him at my breast.
