I've never attended an Intl conference (I go home to visit my family for
a month every other summer and it's always on the odd years when Intl
conference is happening) but I have attended an Area LLL conference
several times. At the conference near me, most of the sessions are
recorded. This year I went to an excellent CE session on helping
mothers who exclusively pump and there was so much to take in (and I had
my youngest with me in the room) that I bought the CD for it so that I
can listen to it as many times as I need to until the information really
sinks in and I can give the information off the top of my head. It's
not cheap (I paid $12 per CD and bought two) but it's worth it to me to
be able to remind myself of what I learned for when I'm working with
mothers who are pumping. Assuming that the LLLI sessions were also
recorded, you might want to consider buying a CD/tape if there is a
session you weren't able to get to and wanted to take and/or a session
you were in that had too much to absorb at one time. You can share the
CD with colleagues who weren't able to attend the conference as well if
the information is useful to them as well.
