Unfortunately, I have, and it seems to be because what started out as a
simple dairy allergy spiralled into a shredded gut that couldn't
tolerate anything. In that case, what worked was a week on a true
elemental formula, which was hard because it involved an unhappy baby
who wanted to nurse and a mom who had to invest a lot of time and
effort into protecting her milk supply as well as paring down her diet.
Moms need to be helped *gently* to understand that hoping it will go
away doesn't work and can have serious consequences beyond a few weeks
or months of inconvenience. The quicker this kind of issue gets
resolved, the better for everyone.
Off my zebra-striped soapbox :)
