Actually Nina, It is not Dr.Buescher who made the comments about bf in the 
developing world- that is a quote from the Slate article.

Dr.Buescher is amazingly entertaining and definitely communicates the 
exciting things he studies about human milk! I think it would be a wonderful 
thing if more people in the US heard about breastmilk from him!

I do understand your frustration though, in the distinction between 
developed and developing nations.
