I just had a client come in that stopped breastfeeding two months ago and her menses has not returned (I would not complain--haha) but she is wondering why this is happening. I of course encouraged her to call the Dr. and tell him what was happening. She did mention that at birth, she had her tubes tied-she was afraid of that being a cause. I told her that I didn't feel like it was an issue, but I would certainly check into it for her. I again asked her to call the doctor and she said she would. I know when I stopped BF my cycle took a little while to kick in, but thought I'd check to see what you all had to say on the matter. Have a blessed day, Merideth Buell, CLC, BE, BFPCDept.
