OK. I've got to know, how many of these milk-feds were fed milk and
Karo, or such, exclusivley from birth, and without other food
supplements for several months. And then, how many dead siblings do
they have? I think the other foods helped with the survival, and a large
number of those told (I'm not referring to any of you; just "those" in
general), they were raised on this or that had some weeks of breastmilk
and then many other foods as well. Also, the nutrition of the mother is
a component. Many of the moms before say the 50's or 60's would have
been well nourished (and allowed to gain weight during pregnancy);
especially those farm moms. Some (especially larger) babies may have
had enough stores of certain nutrients to get by for some time without
them in diet. The blend of milk, meat, fruits, vegetables and grains that
someone mentioned was probably the best artificial feed of all. linda
