Dear Samantha,
I saw your post looking for activities for kids for your carnival booth for
breastfeeding education.
A good resource for activities might be "A Breastfeeding Education Activity
Package for Grades K-12" by New York State Department of Health.

Best wishes at your booth!

Subject: Activites for kids
Hi all,
My WIC agency will be having a carnival this summer, with many different
booths for our moms and kids. All of the booths will have a healthy eating
or fitness activity or theme, and we plan to also have a breastfeeding
booth. The challenge is to find some activities for kids having to do with
breastfeeding/ human lactation so that the booth isn't only informational
for moms, but also fun for kids while normalizing breastfeeding for young
children. So far I've thought of maybe having an animal match game, matching
nursing baby animals (including humans) to their mothers, or having coloring
pages that show different animals nursing their young, again including
humans. But that's all I've come up with! Does anyone have any ideas?
Anything you've done in the past or even just thought of? Any help would be
appreciated, even if it's just to jump-start my brain into coming up with more
ideas. Our booths and activities will be simple, and most things put together
by our busy staff, so unfortunately, we can't do anything too elaborate.
Thanks,
Samantha Pfeifer, CLE
