Further to my earlier message about a young asylum mother, we're looking
for a fluent French speaking lactation support person to give her advice
(free of charge) on relactating and re-establishing her milk supply for
her six month old daughter. She stopped breastfeeding just over three
weeks ago. Have explained to her support, that it should be quite a
simple matter - but the mother only speaks French (Cameroon) and some
direct support in these early days would surely go a long way!
Not only did she stop the breastfeeding - she also stopped taking the
paroxitine very quickly, as she got much worse, not better. Have
explained to her supporter that depressed mothers often get worse when
breastfeeding is stopped. She is eager to resume breastfeeding.
She is the London EN3. If you can help, either email me off list - or
email Cathy Hall, also of Nursing Matters, on [log in to unmask] I'll
be forwarding her all replies anyway - so if you are computer literate
enough to put her eddress in the headers - please do so.
Once again, this list rocks! Thank you all for the excellent responses
to my previous enquiry.
