Hi Liz
I have a few questions about the application of the ILCA policy (because my
own organisation is grappling with similar issues.) How tightly do they
define 'company'? (For instance, I note that Lansinoh has a full page ad on
the back cover of this month's JHL. Lansinoh is wholly owned by Pigeon - a
serial code offender.) Would this policy allow ILCA to accept
sponsorship/advertising from L'Oreal (1/3 owned by Nestle but this
particular company is not directly involved with promoting BMS)? As ILCA is
an international organisation, I assume that it's concern is with any
breaches anywhere in the world. How does ILCA monitor this? If a company
approaches ILCA for advertising space, is there someone who does a
company-search to ascertain this? Or does ILCA wait until someone points out
that an advertiser is affiliated with a problematic company?
