<I always love to read your posts ! Your analytical approach makes
me think - and think hard!>
Thank you Sharon. I had enough negative personal experiences in my first 3
trusting, heartfelt 5-day attempts to breastfeed, before LLL helped me
to attain my absolutely delightful, months and years-long experiences with
two subsequent children. I felt strongly that someone had cheated me out of
something very, very rewarding with our first 3 children. This sense of
outright injustice remains fresh even today, and is part of what fuels my
ardor. It confirms in me that I have been given a "personal call" and a
responsibility to help change the situation. Part of my professional
credo became "Too often, it is the mother who is left feeling inadequate,
when it is our system that is really inadequate"
Then, perhaps it's just that from little on up, for as long as I can
remember, I have always felt compelled to ask "Why" when something
"didn't make good sense" to me.
It's quite possible that there are other things in my household and
management of my financial life that could benefit from effort equal to that
which I enjoy putting into the exchange on Lactnet;-) I do find it highly
addictive. (Or as my grandpa used to tell me "I love to talk to hear myself
talk!")
