Congratulations to all the new and renewing IBCLCs. I have never regretted
taking the steps to become IBCLC. Yes I agree Dawn - the second time of
taking the exam is easier - I think because I wasn't as nervous as the first
time. We put a lot of effort, time and money into learning and it scares us to
think we might not pass.
I still deal with frustrations because in my community the CLCs at the hospital
tell clients they are certified lactation consultants and clients do not
understand the difference between CLC and IBCLC - they sound too similar.
Welcome to our fold and have fun - I know I do!!!
