Hi to all of you,
I have been contacted by a Mom, her son was bornt on dec 17, 2006, she had
an hemorrage (as much as Sheehan? have to know); he was given cups and
bottles while the Mom needed to stay at the hospital, too weak to
breastfeed; then return to home, Mom starts feeding at breast, very
difficult, begins having sore nipples, gives some bottles while pumping her
milk (only 50 ml so she had to complete with formula) then she tries again
feeding at breast, and suffers very sore nipples; she sent me an email in
the week-end, I wished to have her on the phone or in consultation; she
answered me she lives in Montreal, a little far for me, for a
consultation...
She is aware there are several problems, like improving her lactation with a
good hospital grade double pump, and help healing the nipples (she sounds
like she will maybe pump if she cannot feed at breast), but THE trouble is
one that I cannot resolve from here: positioning Mom and baby, latching on
... this Mom needs some one who could visit her or someone she could
visit...
Breast regards,
