Hi All,

I am working with a mom who I helped with her second baby. She had major
oversupply issues with the second baby and finally after trying "all the tricks"
over several weeks, she was able to decrease her supply on 10 days of
combination oral contraceptives. (seven days was not enough!) This was
when baby was between 4-5 months. I consulted with Jack Newman at the
time about length of treatment.

Now with her third baby, she is at day 6 and already experiencing oversupply.
This was so traumitic for her last time that she wants to 'deal with it' right
away.

So physiologically - how long should she wait before starting the pill again?
She is having troubles taking things a day at a time right now. She feels she
cannot cope with the oversupply again. She has had lymph drainage. She
was induced with pitocin and also had IV antibiotics for strep B. I've
discussed with her the fluid involvement because of the IV and the PIT.

I would appreciate any thoughts/input.
