I have been watching the ads with interest, too. I might even have to watch
a show or two to see how they depict BF (and perhaps lactation consultants?)
-- and I generally loathe and detest sitcoms.
BUT: what I like is the "mainstreaming" of breastfeeding. Jokes are being
made about breast changes in pregnancy and breast pumps -- just as there are
jokes about foot-size changes and food cravings.
I am sure there will be inaccuracies. The post-alcohol pump-and-dump bit
already makes me cringe. But think about all the medical, legal and cop
shows on TV. Do they even remotely reflect "the real world?" Of course
not. They are jazzed up and beautified -- because exotic and exciting is
more entertaining on TV. Perhaps this show is a good thing.
