First off-- Linda Hill, thank you for your wonderful words!! Why is it that we
forget the big picture of a healthy, happy dyad and and define our success by
another's choice to breastfeed? I totally agree that my job is to help the
mother achieve her goals, not mine. Unfortunately, when we forget to
respect others choices, we as a profession get known for being dictator like.
I am happy to hear their are other LC's who think like me, in my area I stand
alone in the thought that a mother has a right to do as she believes is best
for herself and her baby.
On another forbidden topic, I saw and printed an article/study that discussed
bottle/artifical nipple flow rates. It included some newer bottles (venti aire,
etc). I very foolishly forgot to write down it's source, does anyone know this
study so I can source it? Thanks much, Marna Moore- Barr
