Frenotomy does not always restore all the relationships as they would
have been had there never been a tongue tie, so you don't necessarily
get perfect mobility. We want good enough function, with as little
intervention as possible, so sometimes one compromises.
Also, many tongue ties are undertreated. As long as the baby can
breastfeed well, mom is comfortable, and the palate is expanding, I am
happy.
