Hello, everyone!
For purposes of allowing us to communicate with our congress
people/senators, use the following routes:
To call one or more, contact US Capitol switchboard: 202-224-3121
To write to your senator, contact [person's name]
US Senate
Washington, DC 20510
To write to your congress person, contact [person's name]
US House of Representatives
Washington, DC 20515
Word to the wise: if you know a committee responsibility of the person in
question and that committee is important to a particular issue (such as WIC
reauthorizaton, maternal/child health, etc.), mention the committee when
writing. It serves as a kind of wake-up call (as in hitting them over the
head with a board!) and makes them pay more attention to your letter. You
might even get a reply!!
Good luck. I harbor the optimistic thought that one of these days, what I
think is important will also be important to the people I voted for...
hm...
