I think DHA is a good idea, but mom can get it naturally by taking a good
quality cod liver oil. She will also benefit from the natural vitamin A and
vitamin D in cod liver oil, which are not in Expecta. Then when they try to push
Tri vi sol for the baby, she doesn't need it as she already gets supplemental
vitamin A and D. Babies can take cod liver oil also, my source says at 4
months.

Dear Wise Ones,
I'm wondering if anyone knows of any current research regarding the=

recommendation that nursing moms take Expectra from the DHA 'benefits'. =
I
certainly know MY feelings about it ;-), but I have a pediatrician (who i=
s
actually a family member) who is challenging my stance on this. She has
been 'well educated' by the reps who visit her office, and she feels that=

ALL nursing mothers should be taking Expecta for the 'obvious benefits'.=20=

I'm looking for as much information as possible on DHA supplementation, b=
oth
maternal and in formulas. I've done a search of the archives, and came u=
p
with a wonderful post from Marsha Walker on this topic, but I'm going to
need a few more references in order for my point to be taken at all
seriously. Can anyone help with this? Thank you SO much in advance!
