<To rewrite Jenna's statement, perhaps we should
say, "If a mother forgoes breastfeeding, she will experience greater
lochia, lose amenorrhea, lose the weight loss effect of breastfeeding,
increase
her risk of cancer, and lose the effects of hormones that reduce stress and
promote maternal bonding.">
Or: "If a mother does not breastfeed, she will lose a unique opportunity to
bond with her baby in an intimate physical relationship. She will have a
heavier lochia loss; earlier resumption of periods; experience difficulty in
losing the weight she gained during pregnancy; increase her risk of cancer;
and lose the stress-relieving effects of lactation hormones."
An enjoyable and interesting exercise.
