Ideas please, for this mom in N. Virginia/DC in U.S. Area who is having
continuing problems with a 3 month old. Gaining well. Great milk supply
that is rather intense.
3month old with very high palate. No apparent tongue tie or additional
anatomic abnormality. Severe nipple damage and pain. Palate is very high,
and deep in her mouth. Looking for different positions that will help with
the latch. Occasionally, Infant uses tongue to push nipple up on to palate.
Rarely, when accomplishing a deep latch, baby gags and cries. Any advice?
Different positions, techniques that will help achieve correct latch? Also
looking for good LC to work with in northern VA / dc area.
Ideas to the list please. Thanks. Kathleen
