My apologies for my quick abbreviations with posting . Yes WNL - within
normal limits, and the weight's were 7lb 5 oz. from 8 pounds at birth.
I agree that this is probably a psycho-social issue. Without discussing too
much there are issues and wonder about her home life. That said a
Munchausen's's did cross my mind, but the reason I don't think\ so is this
mom's presentation, She is really laid back. I feel she is not and has not
been reading baby's cues and over uses the pacifier, ALOT.
Long story short - blood work noted some elevated liver enzymes, consistent
with calorie deprivation, and no urinary tract infections or altered
electrolytes, Hm.......
Transfer of milk at 2.1 ounces was actually more than I had hoped for in
looking at the baby, but yes not enough. This baby has gained 4 ounces
overnight with nursing, pumping and a lot of alimentum, which he takes
readily and retains without incident,
We are working on recovering her milk supply, and trying to assess some more
ac/pc weights. Baby is far to complacent and sad for me. He sleeps a lot.
We'll see what happens tomorrow!
Thanks for you collective wisdom!
LuAnn
