Has anyone ever heard of Children's Medical Ventures/ Respironics.
They are doing an educational program called "preemie for a day" in
Boston in November.
Here's a description from their website.
Since 1991, Children's Medical Ventures has been the leading provider
of developmentally supportive products. Our mission is to promote
developmentally supportive, family-centered care as the standard of
care for premature babies, healthy newborns and hospitalized infants
by providing products and education programs that help ensure the
best developmental outcomes.
Children's Medical Ventures offers high quality products which meet
the unique needs of these special babies, their caregivers and their
families. Product offerings include WeePee® diapers for babies less
than five pounds, Wee Thumbie® and Soothie® pacifiers, positioning
aids such as the SnuggleUp® and Bendy™ Bumper, the BiliChek® non-
invasive bilirubin analyzer and the SmartMonitor® 2PS infant apnea
monitor.
We also offer education products and programs, including Wee Care®
and Preemie for a Day®, that help to promote better outcomes for
hospitalized infants. All of our eucation programs are designed to
meet the needs of your unit and many of them have a hands-on
experiential approach. We also sponsor educational meetings for
managers in conjunction with the National Association of Neonatal
Nurses and/or other hospital groups.
It's hard to find the word breastfeeding on their website. Anyone, if
anyone knows anything about them, I'd appreciate some info.
I'm nomail right now, so if you're on lactnet, please answer to my
