Dear Friends:
The teens I have worked with have enjoyed getting back into their jeans
quicker, and being the one that their baby smiles at. Often it is their mother,
the baby's grandmother, taking care of the baby when the mother is back in
school. Breastfeeding keeps that special relationship going. They also enjoy
relief from menses.
Teens breastfeed better than anybody........they can turn the milk up
almost at will, and the best thing is that they don't get pregnant again (unless
they choose to do so) if they bf for at least 6 months. Just my experience,
not research.
