I had a phone call last week from a mom with an eight month old baby. She had been on a progesterone only birth control pill but had problems with excessive break through bleeding. She has started a stronger pill and within 2 days her milk supply dropped. She was aware that her supply might drop but was not prepared for this as she would like to breastfeed well into the next year. Her question was would any of the herbal preparations be helpful in this situation-I said I would ask. We did discuss other methods of birth control which she was well aware of.
