Hi All,
Permission to post from mom:
Mom currently pregnant with baby #3 - due in 4 weeks. Has a history of milk
supply issues - but we can deal with that (mom took domperidone for previous
babies with good success). Currently is on a no fat (or as 'no' as she can
get it) due to gall bladder issues. She has already had at least one gall
bladder attack and has several stones.
Dr.'s want her to have gall bladder removed 3 days after delivery. Mom has
questions:
1) She has heard of meds that dissolve gall stones. Is that true? If
so, what are pregnancy and lactation risks? Are meds compatible with both?
2) Mom is nervous about the restricted diet and her previous history.
When she didn't eat she had a noticeable drop in her milk supply.
3) Mom also worried about a no fat diet and the content/quality of her
milk supply.
Thoughts? I know nothing about gall bladder stuff.all help appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Warmly,
Jaye
