Congrats Alison, I'd love to see the original article. Is it
available online? I looked on the magazine website, but didn't have
any luck finding it.
It occurs to me that not breastfeeding must affect the mother's
return to her non-pregnant hormonal state. Might that also affect her
absorption or digestion of fatty acids etc.? Perhaps if a mother does
not breastfeed it takes longer for the body to realize that it is no
longer pregnant.
