innocent-sounding title of formula rep. They are formula salesmen, and
nothing else. Please, let's call them what they are!<
I wish we could go a step further but it is so cumbersome. Truly, they are
ARTIFICIAL baby milk salesmen. How about ABM salesmen for short? At their
dinners or other encounters, I have deliberately used that term when I turn
down their trinkets/food. I even use voice inflection that makes it sound
like: a BM salesman (yes, as in the toilet). It goes something like this:
"Well, as a BM salesman, you must know the benefits of breastfeeding and the
hazards of ABM feeding." They ask me what ABM means and I enjoy telling
them, changing the inflection to emphasize the word ARTIFICIAL. (I use a
very serious innocent face when I do it.) You should see their facial
reaction; it is priceless!
BTW, I have even given the aBM salesmen a coffee mug with the "No Free
Lunch" logo on it. I walk away as they stand there staring at it and
figuring out what it means.
