A can of powdered infant milk costs between 12 and 19 Australian Dollars.
There are no restrictions on promotions by retailers here.  By three months,
a baby will get through two of these a week.  By my calulations, that's a
lot of money.  Recently our federal govt began paying new mothers a baby
bonus of $4000. this is said to cover the cost of disposable nappies and abm
for six months.
