I guess it's more complicated then I realized.
The term was given to me by a LC at my hospital. She told me it was the
worse one she has seen and on top of that very ridged, which could cause
pain too.
Basically, I have tried to get a deep latch but baby gags and cries and only
wants to nurse by placing nipple in the bubble of her pallet. I don't think the
tounge is tied or too long but occasionally do hear clicking. Her latch is
perfect that is why it has taken me so long to realize to true problem. Was
first diagonsed with Thrush b/c from the outside everything looks good.
Are there exercises I can do to help her pull nipple back? Would a bottle help
her? I'm willing to pump. So I should not cup the breast in a scissor hold to
get aerolea in her mouth instead let her lounge herself? That seems painful
