Dear Friends:
Jaye asks about homeopathic remedies after surgery. Arnica is always good for
after surgery; for a baby I'd suggest one pellet of 30 C once a day for 3
days after the surgery. The pellet is in milk sugar and will dissolve under
baby's tongue; arnica will not interfere with the action of any prescription
medication.
I don't know if the energetics of homeopathy would apply for a mother taking
a remedy to give to a baby via the milk. I'd ask a certified homeopath about
that.
I can't see that a baby that is not immunized would be at any loss in
surgery; this baby might even have a stronger immune system!
If the baby is happy and gaining, then whatever mom is eating must be fine.
What do the rest of you think?
warmly,
Nikki Lee RN, MS, Mother of 2, IBCLC, CCE, CIMI
