Yes, there are many changes in the Second Edition of Comprehensive Lactation
Consultant Exam Review. About 15-20% of the existing questions were
substantially changed, all old questions were reviewed, and more questions
and photos were added. In the second edition (released in March 2007), there
are two complete practice exams. The biggest change is the addition of
chapters of questions grouped by discipline. For example, the chapter format
allows review of many pharmacology questions all at once, instead of hunting
for pharmacology questions scattered throughout the practice tests. Practice
Exam A's questions do NOT also appear in the by-discipline chapters; while
Practice Exam B's questions are included in the by-discipline chapters along
with additional questions. The bibliographies are updated too.
The publisher's web site is www.jbpub.com then look in the Nursing section
for this and other lactation texts.

Subject: question about Linda Smith's new book
In studying for the exam, a few months ago I bought Linda Smith's
Comprehensive Lactation Consultant Exam review (2001) and it's been very
helpful. Last week I noticed there's a new edition. I am wondering if
there are any significant substantive differences or corrections between the
two such that I should get the new edition at this late date. Perhaps Linda
Smith can respond directly. Thanks.
