Dear colleagues:
On January 29th Kristinha Anding, the founder of Moms Alive! (www.moms-alive.org), a website dedicated to providing support and information to mothers who have been diagnosed with cancer, interviewed me about grief over the loss of an expected experience of breastfeeding in the aftermath of a cancer diagnosis. The first part of this interview is now up on the Moms Alive! website. It can be read in full at: http://moms-alive.org/2007/02/20/when-your-best-isn%e2%80%99t-your-breast-a-qa-with-cynthia-good-mojab-on-how-to-cope-with-the-loss-of-the-breastfeeding-relationship-after-diagnosis/.
I hope the interview will be helpful for mothers who are grieving breastfeeding losses in the context of cancer, as well as in other contexts. Please feel free to forward the link above to anyone you think might be interested.
Cynthia
