Granted, I am not an attorney nor a law enforcement officer, and I don't
live in Texas or even in the US.
I do have years and years of experience watching exported TV shows about US
lawyers, though, and this story about the supposedly Polish man and his
wife's near arrest sounds less and less likely all the time. Is it possible
that someone could be handcuffed and physically removed from the premises of
a restaurant, bare-breasted, and this would not be a full blown arrest?
The other aspect of this that makes me suspicious is my own admittedly
limited experience with Polish emigrant women in Norway. The ones I have
met have not seemed familiar or comfortable with breastfeeding, and have
been much more physically modest than average Norwegian women. I can't
picture any of them casually tandem breastfeeding two toddlers in a cafe,
not here, not in Austin, Texas, not anywhere.
So I think Nina's post may be on target. It should be possible to see where
the man was calling Veronica from, and check out the ownership of the phone
number, no?
