I'm a volunteer breastfeeding counsellor and tutor, and every year I
have to give written evidence that I can maintain my registration by

* attending a min. of 2 full study days annually
* having at least 2 hours of one to one supervision annually
* meeting with other colleagues at least twice a year
* submitting a piece of written work which outlines a class I have
done or else details a case study I have handled
* filling in the annual return that states in detail what I have done
in the year (classes done, parents called and visited, etc)

It's essential - and we do de-register people who don't keep up to
date with these requirements.
