Dear Friends:
Mary is looking for evidence about the newborn's immune system
maturation. What about exploring the work of Armand Goldman, MD, who has published
extensively on this topic?
Lawrence and Lawrence say, on page 173 in the 6th edition, that " The
newborn infant's immune system is immature and inadequate at birth.
..............The infant's immune system continues to develop over at least the first 2
years of life."
