if sharks can smell a few drops of blood in the ocean from a cpl miles way,
why couldn't whale and dolphin babies find their mother's milk by smell?

(where my almost 6 and 7 yo sons still come up to snuggle and take in long,
deep sniffs of their little bro and sis' faces as they tandem nurse b/c they
swear they can still taste the milk through smelling it!)
