When trying to work with MD's/HCP's who promote the use of depo in
teens--keep in mind that they may have their own agenda. In particular, they may be
part of a teen pregnancy prevention program and want to make a name for
themselves for lowering the teen rates. It matters not to them that they have
disrupted a breastfeeding relationship and they certainly don't buy or care that
breastfeeding may affect both the mother's and the infant's long term health. I
have personal experience where I have run into this exact scenario.
