I agree with Karleen that it takes no effort to avoid products from
companies that are unethical. In our house, we also avoid purchasing
over-packaged goods (too much trash), buy gasoline (petrol) from the
least earth unfriendly companies, etc. We call it voting with our feet
(walking away from stuff that we don't support). We also write letters.
My DD wrote her first letter calling a corporation on an advertising
untruth when she was 6 (and wrote it in crayon!). I would have loved to
be a fly on the wall of the corporate office that received it!
I think all religious and political leaders should have some cultural
anthropology courses as a required part of their training. That would
reduce some of the "stoopidity", I would hope.
