I was reading with interest the feeding instructions and remembered what
is in my own baby book. I am 56 and was born at the end of 1949. My mother
was a clinical dietician and I was breastfed exclusively.
My mother and I always laughed that she was told to offer me "orange juice
on a spoon at two weeks of age. Isn't that funny? My pediatrican was
obviously very supportive of breastfeeding but back then, I guess we kids
got juices lots earlier.
The instructions were to breastfeed in three hour intervals. I wonder if
she did that?
