I should add that these pumps were on a small table and the women sat in
rockers, so when both were seated, they were only partially visible to one
another. I don't mention this for any other reason but that it may have made
new NICU moms more at ease and able to chat. Space is a commodity in any
city hospital, so only two women could fit at a time. We had many more women
pumping than we had pumps, but they worked it out.
