Our neighbors received a baby for adoption, on 3 days' notice, on Father's Day. The other day, my 15-yr-old son and I were shopping for baby gifts. Kevin suddenly said "but mom how is he going to get breastmilk?" I explained he wouldn't, and our society doesn't value it enough to have extensive milkbanks for such situations. I was pleasantly suprised though to see that he expects breastmilk to be the norm. (I was also surprised to hear that the baby received *5* separate vaccination shots at his 8 week visit.)
