      re baby /w reflux and contipated mother....is is possible that mother's
diet is cause of her constipation? dairy is often very binding!
      reflux is very similiar to "heart burn". We ALL reflux. it is a matter
of degree. what happens is that the food stuff mixed with bile comes back up
the espha gus(sp) the bile casues the burning sensation...some practicioners
treat infant as one wold an adult but in smaller quanities with malox or
mylanta before or after feeds.
      your upright positioning is excellent - let gravity work with you.
      some thought has been given to reflux being an allergic reaction...
       usually it is self limiting though difficult to live through.
