On another subject, I have to agree with the LactNetter (sorry, I can't
remember who it was and I deleted the e-mail) who said that it's hard to equate
breastfeeding with carseats and back sleeping. Breastfeeding is a
all-of-myself-commitment, while carseats and back sleeping are relatively easy habits
to aquire.
Dear Friends:
Healthcare providers are in the business of supporting health preserving
practices. These are carseats, and safe sleeping positions
and........breastfeeding.
All are life sustaining, prerequisites for a long and healthy life. All need
to be endorsed, and recommended to all new families.
Whether the public embraces these health preserving practices or not is
a whole other story, as we all know. That is part of our challenge.
