I also would not press on this baby's jaw. The excessive jaw excursions
and clamping are a compensation for a tongue that is not doing it's job.
We need to figure out exactly what the tongue is not doing, and then a
plan can be made to help the sucking. For now this baby needs food, and
a method of feeding that will allow him to get enough calories to get
his energy up, then we will see what he's really capable of.
Judy, can you give us more detail on exactly what his tongue, cheeks,
lips and jaw do while he sucks on a finger and however else he feeds?
