Something else to check would be the scrupulous cleanliness of her
pump parts. Some mums begin to forget to remove and disassemble parts
like valves completely for cleaning. (you haven't mentioned the pump
type so I can't go in to specifics here).
You mentioned a five day rotation of milk - while technically within
the "safe zone", this does seem rather long to me. Maybe she could
rearrange things so that the baby is getting <24 hour old milk as
much as possible? The fresher the better.
