My question to you is if there is any research that has been done about the
types of toxins we may be exposed to and their potential of being passed on
in breastmilk?
I don't believe there is any new information. I've been a firefighter for
20 years and a peer counselor for 6. I've helped many women with the City
of Chicago Fire Dept. to nurse and pump for their babies on our 24 hour shift
schedule.
Years ago I emailed Dr Neumann regarding smoke and toxins. I told him I
would dump the first batch of milk pumped after a fire and he told me that it
was probably not necessary.
I will say I nursed my son for about a year and my daughter for almost 6
years and both are very healthy and are now 10 and 13 years old.
