Hi All,

 

I just got a rude awakening a few minutes ago.  I saw a  mom and baby
yesterday – mom had a cough, her 2 ¾ yr old had a cough – she thought is was
asthma – Dad cam home with the 6 yr old – Dad had a horrid cough and 6 yr
old has a snotty green runny nose and a cough.  I am (honestly) LIVID that
they brought me into that situation – I understand she needed help…but
still.  

 

Dad was just diagnosed with walking pneumonia – they were not told if it was
viral or bacterial but the Dr is treating prophalactically with antibiotics
(dad has been sick for 3 weeks).  Mom said she and the kids have had
symptoms for a week so they shouldn’t be contagious.  I asked her to please
let me know ASAP if there was any other info about this illness because I
need to be informed – if I get sick or am contagious – I CAN’T WORK!  This
is my sole source of income for my family – I struggle to make ends meet –
period.  

 

I am NOT happy.  Can anyone enlighten me, reassure me – am I at risk and
will I be putting moms and babies at risk if I see them any time in the near
future??  I can’t afford to be sick for 3 wks – hell, I can’t afford to be
ill for a few days.  Luckily, I am very healthy and am rarely ill…but still.
