We use it (ebm)occasionally when an infant is NPO.
My question is why not use it all the time???
I just started working in a hospital with a special care unit and I
suggested using EBM for mouth care on a baby that was npo and they did do it but
I could tell they did not do it routinely. This to me is basic nursing care.
On another note I just got spoken to for suggesting to a mom she use
fenugreek to increase her milk supply for a 28 weeker The studies per T hale were
done on some 24 weekers. so I thought it would be ok. Believe me I will not
be suggesting ANYTHING to her moms without asking first.
