Just a thought. Could something else have changed, at the same time the
baby was put on formula, like the kind of diapers the baby was put in? My
second baby's little bum was eaten up as badly as with any baby with caustic
diarrhea. He had been in foster care for a month before the agency called
us. The foster mother insisted it was the formula that was causing the
problem, but there was no more broken skin within 24 hours, after I switched
him from Huggies into carefully washed cloth diapers. A switch from one
brand of disposables to another could do the same thing.
