I have a few questions for those that work in hospitals
I am working on protocols for HMF and low blood sugar. I am also trying to get information for some research projects. You can email off list if you’d like at [log in to unmask]
What are your hospital policies/protocols for low blood sugar.
When do you check, i.e. birth wt, GDM, etc.
What are your parameters, i.e. <45, <40…..
What are your polices for feeding.
What are your policies/protocols for HMF.
I have seen the posts on how long it’s good after mixing. What I am looking for is what is the policy/protocol for starting HMF.
i.e. certain weight.
Certain day after birth
No weight gain.
Do mothers have a “right” to refuse?
